The softball team is still searching for their first win of the season but it did not happen on Friday.  On a very cool and windy day, Sterling College made all the right plays as they defeated Haskell Indian Nations University 12 - 0 in Game One.  Numerous runners got on base but none could ever cross the plate.  In Game Two, the hits were everywhere for Sterling as they blistered the Indians once more 17 - 4.  HINU now goes on the road for their next competition as they travel to Marshall, Missouri, on April 10 for a doubleheader at Missouri Valley College.

The women's softball team was scheduled to open their home season on Sunday against Waldorf College (IA).  The Warriors were hoping to get a doubleheader in on Saturday at McPherson College and then stop in Lawrence for another doubleheader against Haskell Indian Nations University.  However, rain played a part in making McPherson College's field not playable and Waldorf College decided to cancel both doubleheaders due to their distance of travel.
