[Haskell Indians] Zunie Closes Out the 2012-2013 Athletic Year

Yesterday, May 12th, senior student-athlete Thomas Zunie closed out the 2012-2013 Athletic Year as he ran in his final half-marathon competition. Zunie finished the 13.5 mile race in 1 hour and 18 minutes.

This year has been a year of record breaking performances, "firsts" for many, and amazing team and individual performances ....

[Volleyball] Coach Nana Allison-Brewer Announces Volleyball All Skills Camp

Volleyball Head Coach Nana Allison-Brewer will be offering her first Haskell Volleyball All Skills Camp June 21st through the 23rd. The camp will offer three options to students. Options include a Youth Division for ages 8 to 11. The Youth Division Camp will be a commuter camp from 9 am to 2 pm.

[Men's Outdoor Track & Field] Track and Field shines in second meet of the Outdoor Season

Last week the weather disrupted the Indians as they opened the Outdoor Season at Pittsburg State University. Thunderstorms and lightning prevented numerous races and events from running on schedule. For many, the meet yesterday was their opportunity to finally compete.

The Softball Team will finally have their home season opener today. Game 1 is set for 3 pm and game 2 at 5 pm. The Indians will face the Southwestern Christian University Eagles out of Bethany, Okla.

(Lawrence KS) It seems the biggest rivalry Indian softball has this year is the weather. 6 of 9 dates have been canceled thus far thanks to weather conditions around the area including the last two games scheduled for the 23rd against Central Baptist and the 25th against Crown College. Haskell has yet to open the season up at home for 2013.

[Men's Basketball] Men's Basketball Spring Tryouts to be Held in April

(Lawrence KS) Haskell Men's Basketball will hold Spring walk-on tryouts this April. Student athletes are encouraged to come and put their skills to the test as we put together our 2014/15 Men's Indian Basketball team.

The Haskell Men defeated an NCAA team for the first time in Haskell Basketball history this year and had three players with multiple NAIA National Basketball Rankings for 2013/14. The Indians also qualified for the MCAC Post Season.

Tryouts will be held Friday April 19^th 2013 at 4:00pm in Coffin Sports Complex. Liability waivers will be available on site.

[Softball] Haskell Softball Falls to Central Christian on the Road in Conference Opener

(Lawrence KS) Haskell slid into action against Central Christian College yesterday with a two game afternoon. The Indians began game one under the Tigers in the second inning by 3 runs. Haskell quickly came back in the second scoring three runs if their own to tie it up. After a scoreless less 4th, Central Christian crept ahead with one run in the 5th and one in the 6th. The Tigers took the first game 3-5.

(Lawrence, KS) The Haskell Women's Baskeball teamwere hoping to close out the home-game season with a large win over 19th ranked Oklahoma Wesleyan University. OWU held the second spot in the MCAC with 12 wins and one loss and an overall record of 20-4 which would prove just how good they are.

(Lawrence KS) The Haskell Indians welcomed the number three team in the MCAC Conference. Oklahoma Wesleyan University (9-5 MCAC 18-9) arrived at Coffin Sports Complex last night January 12th 2013 ready to help the Indians bring the home season to a close. Little did they know, the Indians would later send them packing with a loss in front of one of Haskell's largest crowds in history.

(Lawrence, KS) – The Haskell men's basketball team fell to the Waldorf Warriors Saturday night by a final score of 77-58. The Haskell men were hoping to start a win streak to finish out conference play that would propel them into the conference championship tournament in a few weeks but now it appears the Indians will look to finish out the season strong for the five seniors who will play their final games in the purple and gold.

(Lawrence, KS) – One day after losing a tough game at home the Indians bounced back and fought hard to earn a victory against the Waldorf Warriors in overtime by a final score of 76-73. The victory places the Indians at (6-7) in the conference and (10-17) overall on the season with three more games left on the season.

(Lawrence, Kansas) – The final three home games of the season always get the Coffin Sports Complex jumping to high volume in what could possibly be the best crowds in the NAIA division two. Friday night's game was no exception as the #16^thranked York Panthers came into town to play an Indians team, despite coming up short the past few games, has gotten the attention of every team they have played in the second half of the season and although the Indians fought hard they were unable to overcome a gutsy performance by York Panthers player Marcus Johnson who had 37 points. The Indians eventually lost by a final tally of 78-86.
