The Department of Athletics provides students with the opportunity to participate and develop as scholar-athletes in accordance to the governance of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.  A member institution since the fall of 1999, Haskell currently serves as the only four year athletic program in the nation whereby all scholar-athletes represent diverse American Indian and Alaska Native nations.
