(Lawrence KS) The Indians kicked off the Homecoming Football Game at 1:00pm on Saturday October 6th against Lindenwood University Belleville.

 

The Lynx (4-2) defeated the Indians (0-6) Saturday with an ending of 60-20

The first quarter belonged to Lindenwood with an offensive showcase as the Lynx pushed a 17-0 lead scoring two touchdowns.

In the second, the Indians would claim their goal with two touchdowns to answer back. The first was a handoff from Dominick Panzy to Chris Dupris a freshman running back from Eagle Butte, SD with 07:25 on the clock.  Derrick Hammer a freshman running back from Westville, OK at 01:26 left would close out the second quarter with a 85 yard run, that was initiated by a pass from Panzy. 

The Indians would not be able to hold back the Lynx offense in the third quarter as they ran in for three more touchdowns.

Panzy also a freshman, from Dulce, NM would send a pass in the direction of freshman Will Wood.  Wood from Glenpool, OK scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter, bringing the Indians score to 20 points. Unfortunately the clock would run out and the Lynx would take the win home.

During the match up Lane Freeman and Mark Lievens would grab one interception out of the air each. The Indians would rush for 164 yards.
