Team compiled 3.19 GPA during spring 2012 semester, with close to 75% of its student-athletes earning at least a 3.0

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Final grades have been calculated and members from the Haskell volleyball team are proud to announce they compiled a 3.19 GPA during the spring 2012 semester. 13 of the 18 student-athletes who make up the squad earned grade point averages of 3.0 or higher, while more than half (seven of 13) studied their way to GPA's that surpassed the 3.50 mark.

"I can't tell you how proud I am," Head Coach Nana Allison-Brewer said of her team's accomplishment. "They all did an excellent job, now it's time to get it done for the summer as well!"

In Allison-Brewer's first year on the sidelines for Haskell, the Indians compiled a 5-26 overall record, which included a trio of hard fought-conference victories, while senior Pamela Tso earned an MCAC All-Conference Honorable Mention.

The future looks bright for the second-year head coach and her team as they signed outside/middle hitter Lakesha Padilla for the fall. Allison-Brewer is expecting to sign a handful of other recruits before school starts back up again in August.
