Men's Outdoor Track & Field - Tue, Apr. 3, 2012

NCAA Division II, Emporia State University served as the 2ndmeet of the Outdoor Track and Field season for the Indians.  Highlights from the meet include:

Ian Stand, a sophomore from Bay Point, California returned to the discus ring and completed a toss of 36.52 meters, an improvement from his first meet.  Stand, also earned a seventh place finish in the shot put with a distance of 10.76 meters. 

Sophomore Matt Woody from Ramah, New Mexico landing a toss in the javelin of 41.21 meters; the toss earned a 10thplace finish out of the 17 throwers (including four unattached throwers).  Bryn Fragua, a junior from the Pueblo of Jemez finished in 11thplace with a toss of 40.63 meters.  Both throwers improved from their previous meet.  Two other throwers for the Indians, Angelo James (JR), and Phillip Stand (SO), also improved in the javelin. 

Haskell throwers from the women's team, Leslie Waseta (FR) from Zuni, New Mexico, and Pamela Tso (SR) from Crownpoint, New Mexico each landed improvements; Waseta in the discus, and Tso in the javelin.

The Indians will travel to 2012 Northwest Open in Maryville, Kansas on April 7th.
