HINU loses 17-0 and 9-1 to #5 Ranked Mustangs

CONWAY, Ark. --The Haskell softball team became victims number 31 and 32 on the season for Central Baptist College as the Indians fell to the Mustangs Saturday, 17-0 and 9-1. With the two defeats, HINU fell to (0-21) and (0-6) on the season, while CBC improved to (32-3) and (4-0), as they lived up to their number five ranking in the NAIA National Poll.

The doubleheader loss came a day after the Indians fell short during another twin bill, this time against Oklahoma Wesleyan in Tulsa by scores of 3-0 and 6-3. The 6-3 defeat in game two against the Eagles was the closest Joe Bointy's club would get to their conference foes all weekend, as they were shutout a total of two times during the four-game, two-day road trip.

The Indians will return to Lawrence, still searching for their first victory of the season as they play host to Park University in a doubleheader starting at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
