Junior shoots second round 73 (+1) and finishes in 15th place
FULTON, Mo. -- Led by junior Derek Frick's two round 150 (+6) performance, three HINU golfers finished the William Woods University Spring Invitational, which wrapped up competition Tuesday.
Frick shot a five over 77 on day one of the invite and followed up his opening round performance with a one over 73 on day number two. The Arlington, Texas native finished tied with three others for 15th place, which marked the second straight tournament where he finished 15th or better. Frick was tied for second (146) in the Ottawa Spring Invite last week.
Junior Randy Tate placed 34th (+26), while sophomore Josh Littleaxe found himself in 41st place with a two-round 192 (+48). The trio of golfers will have a week to rest before traveling to Oklahoma City for the Southwestern Christian Tournament (April 9-10).
